Painted Baby Ultrasound

I painted this ultrasound for my boyfriend's older sister. Her baby was born with Edwards Disease which is also called Trisomy 18. It's a genetic disorder that affects the baby's formation. Her name is Sophie Grace Hughes, she was born on February 9th 2026 and she was 3 lbs. She was born with only a cleft lip that did not affect her palate. She is slowly gaining weight and the doctors say she is doing really well for a baby born with this disease. I painted this for her because there are a lot of unknowns when dealing with this disease. It was for a memory and a celebration of her life. She is the miracle baby that everyone was hoping for!
